Our client is a world leader in the cosmetics and healthcare market with well-known brands in skincare, healthcare and sun care.

They are looking to recruit an e-Data Analyst to work from their UK Head Office based in Birmingham.

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to deliver analysis and insights relating to their current performance in e commerce. It will also look at all aspects of driving their future performance across Multichannel and Pure Play Retailers supporting the eDM and eCM.

Super-user of e-analytic tools.

Main Accountabilities

Multichannel EPOS/Net Sales Tracking
Refine process for tracking online EPOS of multichannel customers so that it mirrors offline EPOS tracking. Fully optimise and automate Multichannel Net Sales reporting working with Sales Controlling. Share monthly with all key stakeholders to increase visibility around current performance. Develop a working knowledge of all relevant retailer data systems – Dunnhumby, AMIA, 5One, etc.

Super-user of Profitero tool using real-time data to pinpoint how to improve online performance across major customers in collaboration with eDM/eCM. Identify which performance drivers are most critical to improve as per the Profitero ‘Flywheel’ – focusing on: Availability / Traffic / Conversion with actionable insights and recommendations for each area and by customer. Define benchmarks to assess our online execution vs competition.

ROI analysis
Establish a way of assessing the sales effectiveness of media and content investments on retailer websites and make recommendations to the Shopper Marketing Team according to your findings to guide their future investment decisions.

Pure Play Tracking

Utilise all available Pure Play tools (5One, Amazon VC/ARA) for Amazon & Ocado specific insights including monthly Ocado brand share reporting.

Lead on the relationship with Brandbank with a mindset of driving continuous improvements and simplification relating to its interface with PIM/MAM. As the Brandbank go-to, ensure that all content is kept up-to-date in line with retailer expectations and timings and as per the guidance from eDM.

Where-to-Buy (WTB)
Track performance of WTB feature on website and make recommendations on how to further amplify. Support GBU team in identifying an alternative provider in 2019.

Internal expert
Become a go-to person internally for education and training on online performance and e-analytic tools. Create and maintain internal playbook with key learnings.
  •  Degree qualified, ideally in a numerical subject
  •  1-3 years’ experience in data analysis ideally working for a data agency (e.g. Kantar, Nielsen, Profitero, etc.)
  •  Strong interest in eCommerce and digital topics
  •  Highly numerical, analytical thinker with proven track record for delivering insight
  •  Good relationship builder & track record of excellent stakeholder management
  •  Entrepreneurial Mind with strong ‘Can Do’ Attitude
  •  Team Player with strong communication and presentation skills
